IMPORTANT NOTE:

This template is designed for you to reuse when building client websites.

When you duplicate it, please make sure you actually build the client’s website on the COPY, or you won’t get credited (via Circle points) for the website build.

Squarespace basically says:

Circle points for new subscriptions can only be given to the Circle member who begins the original website…
 
If you duplicate the site, you would be the creator of that duplicated trial site and therefore would get the points for any new subscriptions on that site.

But it wouldn’t be possible to transfer points over to from the template designer for a site build that began using the original template. Points are directly attached to the account who started the site, so this occurs automatically in the system.
